"Once again I am truly grateful for Dayna's expertise. Again, £75.00 well spent. Dayna is still the calm, friendly, kind and skilled professional she was when I last saw her. I am always apprehensive about the process of ear microsuction but I needn't have been. The procedure was comfortable and pain free. The results are great."

"The audiologist who treated me was absolutely top drawer. Her name was Dayna and she gave me an appointment the same day and removed a considerable amount of wax from both of my ears using microsuction."

"Cannot recommend highly enough. The service is excellent and the audiologists are extremely proficient. Will not go anywhere else in future."

Specialist, unhurried hearing care
from an independent London clinic.

Clearly Hearing is an independent audiology clinic seeing patients across 3 London locations: East Dulwich (inside Oru Space at 20-22 Lordship Lane), Soho and Canary Wharf, with home visits and online appointments across the capital. The clinic has cared for around 4,000 patients and is rated 5.0 from 61 Google reviews.

Care is led by founder and Clinical Director Dr Dayna Edwin, who holds 3 audiology qualifications: a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D), an MSc in Human Communication Sciences from UCL and a BSc (Hons) in Audiology from the University of Bristol, with over 15 years of clinical experience across NHS, private and community settings. Every audiologist here has a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience.

Appointments are longer by design: comprehensive hearing assessments last around 60 minutes, hearing aid care includes Real Ear Measurement verification and a 2-week trial, and same-day appointments are often possible. As a registered provider for 6 major insurers, including Bupa, AXA and Aviva, we can usually bill your insurer directly, and self-pay assessments start from £120.

Your journey,
step by step

Assessment

Your appointment starts with a full case history and the diagnostic tests your situation calls for: otoscopy, pure tone audiometry with bone conduction, middle ear assessment, and speech testing where appropriate. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is skipped.

Explanation & plan

Your audiologist explains the results in plain English on the day and agrees a personalised plan with you: treatment, hearing technology, onward referral or monitoring. Because we are independent, the recommendation is based on evidence, not a sales target.

Aftercare

Care continues after the appointment: follow-up visits, hearing aid fine-tuning, repairs and reviews, plus written reports for GPs, ENT consultants, schools and insurers where needed. Our aim is your long-term hearing, communication and confidence.

Common
questions

Do I need a GP referral to see an audiologist?

No. You can self-refer and book directly online, by phone or by email, and same-day appointments are often possible. If you are using private medical insurance, your insurer may ask for a GP or specialist referral first, so it is worth checking your policy before you book.

Where are your clinics?

We see patients at 3 London locations: East Dulwich, inside Oru Space at 20-22 Lordship Lane, SE22 8HN; Soho, inside UNTIL at 111-119 Charing Cross Road; and Canary Wharf, inside UNTIL at 30 South Colonnade. Home visits and online appointments are also available across London.

How much does a hearing assessment cost?

A comprehensive hearing assessment starts from £120 for adults and from £90 for children, and usually lasts around 60 minutes. If you have private medical insurance we can usually bill your insurer directly: we are registered providers for Bupa, AXA, Aviva, WPA, Vitality and Healix.

Are you tied to a hearing aid manufacturer?

No. Clearly Hearing is fully independent, so we select from all major manufacturers, including Phonak, Oticon, Signia, ReSound, Starkey and Unitron, based on your hearing, lifestyle and budget. Every fitting is verified with Real Ear Measurements, and our focus is clinical outcomes, not retail sales.

Do you test children's hearing?

Yes. We assess children as well as adults, using age-appropriate tests such as play audiometry, Visual Reinforcement Audiometry and tympanometry, and parents stay in the room throughout. We also assess auditory processing disorder (APD) in school-age children, and provide clear written reports for schools, GPs and ENT specialists.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online through our booking portal, call 0207 458 4525, message us on WhatsApp or email hello@clearlyhearing.co.uk. Same-day appointments are often possible. If you are not sure which service you need, book a comprehensive hearing assessment and your audiologist will guide you from there.
