Booking and cancellation
Appointments can be booked online via the booking link on this site, or by contacting the practice directly. Appointments at our Soho and Canary Wharf clinics require a £30 non-refundable booking fee at the time of booking, which is deducted from the cost of your appointment when you attend. We ask for as much notice as possible for any cancellation or change. Missed appointments are charged at 50% of the appointment fee to compensate the clinician's reserved time.
Clinical scope
Care is delivered by audiologists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). All treatment follows a thorough assessment, including otoscopy and relevant case history. We reserve the right to decline any treatment where it is not clinically indicated, not in your interests, or unsafe given your history, and we will refer you to your GP, an ENT specialist, or urgent care where the presentation requires care outside the scope of audiology: including red-flag symptoms such as sudden hearing loss, ear pain with discharge, or unexplained one-sided symptoms.
Consent
Verbal informed consent is obtained for every assessment and treatment. For procedures carrying material risk: in particular microsuction ear wax removal, consent is taken beforehand, covering the technique, expected outcomes, possible complications such as temporary dizziness or, rarely, damage to the ear canal or eardrum, and the aftercare plan. You may withdraw consent and end any appointment at any time without explanation. Clinical images are only taken and stored with your separate consent.
Hearing aids, insurance and fees
Hearing aid recommendations are made independently across multiple manufacturers, and every fitting is verified with Real Ear Measurement. Prices, what each fitting includes, and any trial arrangements are confirmed in writing before you commit. We are a registered provider for major private medical insurers; where an insurer funds your care you remain responsible for any excess or shortfall under your policy. Fees for self-funded care are published on this site or confirmed before booking.
Records and follow-up
You are entitled to a written summary of your assessment, results, and recommendations. Where a hearing aid is fitted you receive structured aftercare and any follow-up or fine-tuning appointments needed. Discharge happens by mutual agreement once the problem is resolved or stably managed.
Liability
All clinicians carry full professional indemnity insurance. Adverse responses to treatment, while uncommon, can occur: we discuss the relevant risks with you before any procedure we believe carries material risk in your specific case.
